Welcome to the official blog of Kyle Slaymaker, founder and owner of the widely respected and renowned Slaymaker Method! The Slaymaker Method is built upon incredibly solid foundations that I have put together from skills honed in my more than a decade of experience in the business world. I first began my foray into leadership and training during my time serving in the US Navy onboard the USS Cape St. George during Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom. As the years rolled on, I was proud to supplement my education formally at Penn State as I worked towards my degrees in Business Administration and Organizational Leadership.
But what is an education without real world practical experience? Nothing. I have studied under business owners, leaders, and immensely successful sales professionals all across the country while placing the techniques I’ve learned into application in various roles. From cutting my teeth in auto and door-to-door sales, earning invaluable insight into both marketing and B2B channels (business-to-business for those readers who are considering a career in sales and just starting out), I knew that it was time to start teaching what I knew and bringing my expertise to companies and professionals around me. I had a knack for helping create businesses and helping already-created businesses succeed, and so I founded The Slaymaker Method. Since our inception, I have helped launch companies from the ground up, including an app company and a clothing company, helped existing companies break into new markets and quickly increase their sales, including a nationally recognized themed party company, and helped countless sales professionals and teams revamp their sales processes and maximize their revenue. I have also coached managers, owners, leaders, executives, and individuals be the absolute best they could be in multiple facets of their lives, both professionally and personally.
It is my hope that each entry in this blog provides you with a bit of information you have not considered or a viewpoint you have not thought of or recognized. The blog is intended to focus on all things business, with each entry focused on a single subject. Yes, there will be some crossovers and series posts, but that is just par for the course as I cover topics from marketing tips to maximizing your “off time.” (Is there is such a thing when you are an entrepreneur or business owner? Spoiler alert: there is and there absolutely has to be.) I want this blog to be brutally honest and showcase the highs and the lows of what we do as leaders. Sometimes it is glamorous and we are proud. Other times we have to let people go who just aren’t the right fit for an organization. And yet other times we stay up until all hours ready to pull our hair out trying to figure out how we will meet our sales quotas. But I am aiming to provide an honest and objective (at least as objective as I can be) perspective for the would-be entrepreneur.
